Kahnawake's Powwow 2005

I really enjoyed the event. Honestly, I deserved it: it took me two hours biking from Montreal! We're happy to publish some pix for you. That was another great event to discover and share First Nations' ancestral traditions. The Mohawks from Kahnawake offered us a superb powwow. Craftspersons were there of course.
We look forward to attending next year's powwow...

And here's a nice greeting of the Sun to close this pow-wow.
I see a heavenly (pun intended) message in this picture I shot while riding back to Montréal. If you don't believe in cosmic messages, please do not read on. This bridge linking Kahnawake and Montréal represents a link between two peoples; it goes way beyond the sheer metallic construction we see. It is a means of exchanging and getting together. This photo shows us a Nature offering water, land, air and trees to all humans. And ohhhh, look at the Sun, right in between both Nations: he does shine for everyone.
